Results
Bulk fabric has been purchased with donated funds, or obtained via other charitable initiatives. It is cut into kits which are distributed to the local team to sew. The finished scrubs are then allocated to hospitals and other facilities that have requested assistance.
The team has now provided well over 26,000 items, including sets of scrubs, masks, laundry bags, headbands, scrub hats and gowns to hospitals and healthcare providers in central and south-west London, including Charing Cross, Ealing Hospital, West Middlesex, Hillingdon, Northwick Park, Queen Charlotte’s Hospital, Royal Brompton, Kingston Hospital, St Peter’s and St Helier Hospital, Hammersmith Hospital, Chelsea and Westminster Hospital, the Royal Hospital for Neuro-Disability, King’s College Hospital, St George’s Hospital and Southampton General Hospital.

Local GP Surgery delighted with donated scrubs
Scrubs in Action — a report from a happy recipient: “Good morning. My lovely niece-in-law Desiree working in East Ham care centre who had no decent clothing before these fabulous scrubs which, with long sleeves, are good for her night shifts. As you can see she's next to a door marked 'isolation'. Before she only had flimsy masks and rubber gloves. Being categorised as vulnerable my nephew had to buy her proper masks and aprons from China! So these scrubs are a most welcome gift. Thank you.”
A newly qualified doctor sending her thanks for the scrubs that we made for her. Her mother has lent us a sewing machine for the duration.
We were pleased to help a local registered charity based in Battersea, @CarneysCommunity, by donating some of our face masks for their young people. Inspired by boxing legend Mick Carney, Carney's Community creates lasting change for young people, engaging them in a combination of boxing fitness sessions, youth work activities and long term mentoring support. Carney's Community helps get disadvantaged and excluded young people off the street and away from a life of crime and despair by giving them skills, discipline and self respect.
